W7-X Plasma Ring
The plasma of a fusion stellarator, as a pendant
Wendelstein 7-X, in Greifswald, holds its plasma with magnetic fields alone. The field lines wind around and around and never leave one twisted, five-fold surface. We took that surface from the published equilibrium and cast it.
